Your CBC Grade 7 book list, sorted
5 October 2026 · Faith Muthoni

Moving into Grade 7 means a new junior school list, and every year parents tell us the same thing: the list is long, the titles look alike, and the January rush makes it worse. Here is how to make it painless.
What is usually on the list
- Core course books for English, Kiswahili, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Social Studies, Pre-technical Studies, Agriculture and CRE/IRE. Check the publisher your school names: KLB, Longhorn, Oxford, Moran and Mentor all publish approved titles.
- A class reader for English and one for Kiswahili.
- Stationery: A4 exercise books (often 96 or 200 pages), a maths set, a scientific calculator and a ruled counter book.
Three tips from our schools desk
- Bring the list, not a photo of half of it. We match every line against the exact edition, so you don't come home with last year's book.
- Order early. Send us the list in December and we'll have it packed and waiting, or delivered.
- Cover the books on day one. A covered book lasts two children, not one.
Send your list to any branch, upload it on our website, or WhatsApp it to us. Schools ordering for a whole class can open an account: see School book lists.
